Whether you are interested in beer, history, art or architecture, a private tour with one of our guides is an enriching experience. The themed tours will take you on a experience through the history of Carlsberg from the foundation in 1847 up until today.

Weekends and holidays:

TYPES OF TOURS

THE BREWER - CARL JACOBSEN'S CARLSBERG

Approx. 60 min., max. 30 participants.

Tour of Carl Jacobsen's New Carlsberg where you learn about Carlsberg's foundation in 1847, the history between father and son and experience some of the most iconic buildings - the Elephant and Dipylon Gate, New Carlsberg Brewhouse, Lotus Chimney and the Star gate.

Please note that the tour takes place outdoor.

CARLSBERG - THE OLD DAYS

Approx. 60 min., max. 30 participants.

Tour of J.C. Jacobsens Old Carlsberg where you learn about the foundation of Carlsberg in 1847 through the eyes of J.C. You will hear about J.C.'s vision for Carlsberg, his Golden Words and experience some of the most important Carlsberg sites - the 165-year old cellars, the Star gate, the Old Carlsberg Lighthouse, the Carlsberg Laboratory and of course the oldest brewery buildings.

THE HISTORY OF CARLSBERG

Duration 90 minutes. Max 30 participants per guide.
Price: 1750 DKK on weekdays / 2400 DKK on weekends and holidays.    

A combined guided tour of Carl Jacobsen's New Carlsberg and J.C. Jacobsen's Old Carlsberg.
You will learn about the founding of Carlsberg in 1847, the vision for Carlsberg, the Golden Words and experience some of the most essential Carlsberg places – the old cellars, the Star Gate, the Chalk Tower, and Carlsberg Research Laboratory.
You will learn about the relationship and conflicts between father and son, the founding of New Carlsberg and experience some of the most iconic New Carlsberg buildings – the Elephant and Dipylon Gate, New Carlsberg Brewery, and the Lotus chimney.
