The exhibition takes around 60-90 minutes
Home of Carlsberg is much more than the old brewery – it is an interactive museum and a cultural attraction where you can immerse yourself in Carlsberg’s rich history and proud traditions. Located in the historic brewery halls, the exhibition offers a unique insight into the journey from J.C. Jacobsen’s first brew to the global brand we know today.

The guided historical tour takes from 30 - 90 minutes and can be booked for groups up to 30 people.
Walk through the iconic Elephant and Dipylon Gates, visit the New Carlsberg Brewhouse with its massive brass barrels, and hear the story of the Lotus Chimney and the Star Gate. Carlsberg City District is filled with historic buildings featuring unique details that reflect the aesthetic sense of both J.C. Jacobsen, the founder of Carlsberg, and particularly his son, Carl Jacobsen.
Our guides at Home of Carlsberg will take you around Carlsberg City District and share everything you want to know about the family feud in the Jacobsen family, how they later reconciled, and the historic buildings that played a central role in Carlsberg’s development and later legacy.
The beer tasting takes 1 hour and can be booked for groups up to 30 people.

The beer tastings can take place at Carlsberg Venues or in the historic and somewhat 'secret' brewery cellars at the Home of Carlsberg. Situated 14 meters beneath the stables, the brewery cellars are steeped in history and still carry the scent of the brewery that was founded there 177 years ago.
